Michael Ocker joined the Ocker & Associates, PC team in 1989 and now owns the firm. Michael is highly regarded for his innovative thinking and personalized approach in meeting the personal and business needs of his clients. Michael has extensive experience in small business accounting, consulting, tax compliance, tax planning, and preparation of individual and corporate tax returns.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant, and he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Slippery Rock University. In 2018, Michael was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to the State Board of Accountancy for the Pennsylvania Department of State. In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State Board of Accountancy regulates the practices of both public and certified public accountants and Michael will serve a four year term. In addition, Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).
Outside of the office, Michael enjoys golf and skiing.
